Die Grenze zu Thailand - die bisher bürokratischste Grenze. Thailand macht uns die Einreise nicht unbedingt leicht - zumindest im Vergleich zu den umgebenden Ländern und zum ersten Mal bekommt unser Motorrad eine kürzere Aufenthaltsgenehmigund als wir (für zusätzliche Baht lässt sich dies natürlich im Land verlängern). Die Straßen sind für uns Rennstrecken, wenn auch mit interessanten Eindrücken unterwegs und wir finden außerdem zum ersten Mal seit langem einen echten Campingplatz auf dem Weg nach Bangkok

The Thaiborder was the most bureaucratic so far and one does not make life easy for us here - at least comparing to a lot of other countries around . It's the first time that we had a longer permit to stay than our bike (if you invest more baht wenn in the country you can have this extended however). The roads are like race tracks for us even though we do meet some pretty interesting stuff on them. For the first time in a long time we even find a real campsite on our way to Bangkok

Bangkok - 8,3 Mio Einwohner und eine Fläche fast so groß wie Bremen und Hamburg zusammen. Wir müssen hin wir sind zwar fasziniert, aber auch froh, dass wir nicht allzulange bleiben müssen.

Bangkok - 8.2 Mio inhabitants and an area almost as big as Berlin and Hamburg combined. We are fascinated but we are also glad that we don't have to stay for long.

Statt in Pattay enden wir in Bang Sarey - einem (noch) netten und verschlafenen Örtchen südlich von Pattaya, wo wir zum ersten Mal seit wir unterwegs sind ein paar Tage am Meer bzw am Strand verbringen und sowohl Einheimische, als auch Farang sich vergnügen

Instead of Pattaya we end up in Bang Sarey - a still sleepy little town where we for the first time since we went on our journea spend a few days at the seaside and beach. Locals and foreighners /farang) have a chilled time here

Nach einem kurzen Stop in Bangkok, um Johans neuen Pass abzuholen verbringen wir den Rest unseres ersten Thailandaufenthaltes im Khao Yai Naturreservat - endlich mal wieder in unserem Zelt und das sogar auf einem richtigen Campingplatz. Das meiste an Tierwelt hatten wir direkt vor der Tür.

After another brief stop in Bangkok where we just collected Johan's new passport we spend the remainder of our first Thailandvisit in Khao Yai Nature Reserve - finally a few days back in our beloved tent and that even on a propper camsite. Most of the wildlive we had right in front of our tent door.
