Wir überqueren die Anden.  Es ist kalt und wir wissen nicht, ob und wie wir Patagonien durchqueren können - wir hatten bisher viele Probleme und das südliche Ende Argentiniens wird wegen seinen Naturwundern bereist und nicht, weil es dort so gemütlich ist. Dieser Auftakt lässt alles Mögliche befürchten. Die Strecke von Bariloche über Puerto Madryn nach Ushuaia beträgt mehr als 3000 km unsere erste Etappe durchs windige Patagonien

We cross the Andes. It is cold and grey and we are not sure if and how we will be able to cross Patagonia after all the problems we've already had. The southernmost part of Argentina is huge

and one doesn't visit this part of the world for its weather but for the scenery - anyway this first impression will hopefully not be the last. The distance from Bariloche to Puerto Madryn and then Ushuaia is more than 3000 kms through this windy part of the world 

wir folgen der Routa 3 entlang der Küste in Richtung Feuerland. So weit im Süden sieht man jede Menge Ölfelder und Schilder, Aufkleber Mahnmale die sich mit dem Thema Falklandkrieg beschäftigen. Wir kämpfen ständig mit dem Wind und treffen wieder auf Bill und Dawn, mit denen wir gemeinsam ans Ende der Welt fahren

we follow the Routa 3 along the coast towards Tierra del Fuego. This far south you get to the oilfields and many monuments, stickers and military objects which remind of the Falkland war.

We constantly battle with the wind and meet Bill and Dawn again, so we ride together to the end of the world

in Ushuaia - endlich!  Wir hätten es fast nicht mehr geglaubt. Wir kommen rechtzeitig zum Motorradtreffen des Club 54 Sur an - ein tolles Wochenende.  Von hier geht es wieder in Richtung Norden, zuerst in den Torres del Paine Nationalpark und dann zu Perito Moreno 

We'vemade it to  Ushuaia - finally! Arrival just in time for the local bike rally and we have a wonderful time with bikers from all over the place and Club 54 Sur.  From here we ride back north and to the beautiful Torres del Paine National Park and the Perito Moreno glacier

Peter aus Kreuztal fährt zum Foxgletscher, wir folgen der Routa 40 und kommen zu Weihnachten in Bariloche an, wo wir den ersten Feiertag noch Mal mit Bill und Dawn zusammentreffen und feucht fröhlich einen Schlußpunt unter Patagonien setzen.

Peter from Kreuztal heads north for the Fox glacier - we hit the famous Routa 40 and arrive in Bariloche again - in time for Christmas. we do have a rather merry one with Bill and Dawn and here we finish the Patagonian circle
